FABULOUS CARAGAN FESTIVAL Last February 27, 2009, I was invited by Mr. June Magbalot, Festival Co-Chairman, to be one of the distinguished judges of the Caragan Festival. This event pays tribute to the first settlers of the town Mabalacat, named after the first chieftain of the Aetas.
Joining me as some of the judges are noted fashion designer Renee Salud, celebrity image stylist James Cooper, fashion guru Barge Ramos, Department of Tourism’s Nilo Agustin and ABS-CBN’s Mark Logan. The event was also made colorful with the presence of some of ABS-CBN’s talents- Rafael Rosel, Victor Basa, John Avila and JR Valentin.
Congratulations to Mr. Deng Pangilinan and Mr. June Magbalot, co-chairmen of the Caragan Festival and all those who took part in making this festival very successful.

The colorful event started with a festive street parade participated by 49 big groups form different schools, NGOs and government agencies in Mabalacat. The stretch of Mc. Arthur Hi-way was filled with spectators as they dance to the festive beat of the Caragan theme played over the GV FM for the whole duration of the parade.
